SmartMeme assisted a coalition of farmers, environmentalists and concerned citizens in launching a public education campaign around genetic contamination of the papaya crop. The group used smartMeme’s tools to develop a comprehensive media plan and organize a media event that alerted the public to the serious dangerous of genetically engineered agriculture.
