Doyle is a strategist, trainer, and organizer with a big imagination and a deep commitment to social change. She staffs smartMeme's East Coast headquarters in Burlington, Vermont. Most recently, she collaborated on Turn You Back on Bush to ring in the second term of Bush rule with mass nonviolent direct action.

Doyle co-coordinates smartMeme’s STORY program - Strategy, Training & Organizing Resources for Youth , and assists smartMeme clients looking for support in developing their media skills, campaigning strategies, messaging work, or organizing plans. She also gives clients and partners direct support as a facilitator, trainer, action designer, or collaborator and strategy architect.

Doyle has worked on a number of campaigns, projects, and mobilizations—from grassroots, one-on-one work for Vermont’s campaign to stop genetically engineered crops , to media strategy and support for the movement against the Iraq war at the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City .

Doyle served as the organizing director at the Institute for Social Ecology Biotechnology Project from 2002-2004, and worked at the leadership of local and national grassroots efforts for people’s food sovereignty. Since 1999, Doyle has helped organize mass actions for global justice in the U.S., Canada and Australia, in places from Quebec City to Miami to Melbourne.

Doyle received her B.A. from Goddard College (‘02), with an emphasis on critical pedagogy and an endorsement as a secondary social studies teacher. In 2002, Doyle was a student-teacher of civics and geography for 9-12th graders in rural Vermont.

Doyle works through STORY to deliver trainings for youth activists in the signature smartMeme curriculum, as well as share traditional organizing and media skills. Doyle occasionally writes commentaries on ecology, vision and strategy for Znet, and has a chapter in the forthcoming book “Letters from Young Activists,” (available from Nation Books Fall 2005.)

When she is not off rabble rousing, Doyle likes to spend her time with her Jack Russell Terrier, Po’teen, walking in the rolling woodlands of New Hampshire. She also loves singing, horses, watching the clouds go by, and gardening.
