Bay Area 2030: Slides, Shocks and Shifts - Which future?
SmartMeme is collaborating with Movement Generation Justice & Ecology Project and the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center to develop scenarios, assess threats and explore strategies for a just transition to a sustainable economy. This multiphase experimental project will identify key trends, articulate new strategies and engage fellow movement leaders in an ongoing dialogue around strengthening our movements for resilient communities and ecological justice.
Echo Justice: Building Movement Communications Capacity
SmartMeme is in collaboration with the Center for Media Justice, UNITY Alliance, Praxis Project, Movement Strategy Center and Progressive Communicators Network and other social justice communicators to incubate and launch the
Echo Justice initiative. This ambitious project is exploring how to strengthen communications capacity for key social justice sectors. Stay tuned for the upcoming release of the initiative's first report!

SmartMeme has been embedded in
Climate Justice work since 2009, and has worked on the ground in Copenhagen, Cochabamba & Cancun amplifying actions by Indigenous Environmental Network, Movement Generation, Grassroots Global Justice and others. SmartMeme is a member of the Climate Justice Allignment process and is committed to helping build the movement for Climate Justice!
National Day Laborers Organizing Network
SmartMeme is partnering with
NDLON to support their ongoing fight to end racial profiling and defend the human rights of migrants. We co-convened the 2012 Turning the Talk gathering in Altanta, Georgia to provide story-based strategy training to migrant rights leaders. SmartMeme is also amplifying the "No Papers, No Fear" Ride for Justice with narrative development and action design support.
National Domestic Workers Alliance
SmartMeme is honored to support NDWA's trailblazing efforts to amplify the voices of domestic workers organizing for rights and respect. Our ongoing partnership includes story-based strategy training, capacity building and direct framing and messaging support to NDWA projects, such the first major national report on domestic workers developed through participatory action research.
Right to the City Alliance
SmartMeme has partnered with the
Right to the City Alliance in Boston and nationally to change the story for justince in urban communities. This includes convening, training, embeded support and intensive narrative development.
