SmartMeme is a national strategy center for holistic movement building founded in 2002. We develop and apply narrative power analysis and story-based strategies—frameworks to integrate organizing, messaging, and strategy through the power of storytelling. We bring combined decades of experience in grassroots movements, as well as training in the fields of advertising, advocacy, organizing, film & broadcast media, ecology, and education.

SmartMeme serves national and grassroots organizations as a comprehensive source for movement based strategy consultation, messaging, meeting planning and facilitation, communications, and design.

Our firm grounding in grassroots social change work enables smartMeme to connect messaging, advertising and branding with a campaigns’ overall organizing strategy.
